Waynetown - Ruth Bernice Alward, 84, formerly of Wallace and Waynetown died at 11:20 a.m. Friday in Williamsport Hospital. Mrs. Alward lived most of her life in Wallace before moving to Waynetown in 1985.  She was an emloyee of Sommer Metalcraft during the 1950s. She was a member of Rebekah Logs of Kingman and the American Legion Ausiliary, where she was a Gold Star Mother.  She attended Cooper's Chapel Church.  She was born Oct 24, 1906, near Newtown to William and Miriam Durham ROdgers. She married Earl Alward Nov 25, 1925. He died Jan 24, 1985.  Surviving are a son, Paul of Culman, Ala; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Groce and Mrs. Gaylor (Ruth Ann) Prather, both of Waynetown and Mrs. Wayne (Pauline) Hayman of Covington; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Two sons, a great grandchildren and 10 brothers and sisters are deceased.  Arrangements are pending at Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown
